The only issue that I've had was after the update my Lenovo IdeaPad YISK TouchI installed all my programs and games but eventually after it restarts my system just shows a black screen with the spinning dots and nothing happens at all.
The machine tries to fix itself but doesn't fix anything. I've factory reset my machine with the OneKey twice and updated again and repeated everything with the same end result so I'm not sure what is causing this issue. Finally on the third time I did it with no third party programs installed it did the same thing.
Anyone else having issues with their Lenovo PC regarding this update? The only driver for the camera had to be reinstalled. Recently, windows 10 automatically updates my laptop to edition. However, after a restart, the laptop froze before entering to the login screen black screen and then there is this logo keep circling but the system wont start. Anyone had the same experience?
This is frustruating because the Windows automatically installs the update itself and then then restart. If you have reported these problems to Microsoft, please post your share link back here so that others with the same problems can upvote your feedback.
Upvoting moves your report up for Microsoft engineers to address and fix. We have 7 computers that have totally crashed today after the update! Guess the numbers will be more than doubled by tomorrow This totally sucks! We have windows 10 professional installed. The E was clean installed today and updated - it crashed! I really, really hate Microsoft these days.
I probably need to drive all arround Norway with clean installed and NOT updated computers next week. After the update the system could not start, first it chose a wrong partition to boot I think, with the automatic system recovery I could choose another partition Got a strange "unknown hard error" message, and then only ctrl-alt-delete worked.
How to Fix Lenovo Touchpad Not Working in Windows 10 Issues
On a Thinkpad TP, the fingerprint reader stopped working. Re-installing newer drivers didn't fix it. It says it is not compatible with my hardware.
It continues trying to update though! Fortuantely I was able to update my display driver from device manager and it seems to be working properly now. Seriously though, this isn't a beta release and Microsoft should suspend upgrades to until they do further testing.
This is the laptop I used for school and was purchased not more than four months ago and I would be beyond mad if it bricked my laptop like it seems to have done to others. My wife has the same build laptop and we will be holding off on upgrading hers for quite a while now.

Fix: Lenovo Camera Not Working in Windows 10
Incredible article dude! Is there anyone else having identical RSS problems? At some points, the windows bar does not respond anymore, be it when clicking on the "window" or on the logos on the right side. Plus, there is no sound anymore or sometimes you can't even play a music or video, like on youtube you click on play, nothing happens.
Or even on a music software on my computer Itunes for example. It looks like lenovo hasn't done a proper job to be prepared for windows 10 or maybe I have a software or something that conflicts with windows I have no idea really but could you please advise me what this problem might be? Just so that you know, I moved your post because it had nothing to do with the thread you had posted into.
Are you using a G laptop? Have you installed all the Windows 10 drivers? For example " Display and Video Graphics" or "Bluetooth". I don't think the other pilots available would have an action on my problem. There is a possible solution to your problem, but it will require a bit of work on your part.
Doing a clean install of Windows Basically it would require that you backup all your personal information onto DVD's or external drives, then do the clean install of Windows 10, install the drivers, install windows updates, reinstall your security software and then the other software, and finally move your personal data back to the computer.
This may not be a case of Lenovo's not doing a "proper job". If your Gs is on there, it is supported. If not, you are taking a chance by going ahead with Windows If you have friends and family who are wanting to upgrade to 10 please remind them to check the OEM lists before they attempt the upgrade.
Hi, Well it is absolutely unnormal to have to look on lenovo website.
Windows constantly notified me to upgrade to windows 10 easily as it is ready. It's quite simple really and it's not my problem if it's lenovo's or windows' fault. So i changed with another hard disk and it works. Looks like they are lots of coincidence but from what i see : i'm back on windows 7 i had 8 with a broken hard disk and a non functioning keyboard. Definitively not recommending windows Plus 2 friends had problems as well and had to go back to an ancient windows version, showing that windows 10 update sucks in general and not only by me.
Good job guys! Moderator comment: Post edited to conform with the Community Rules. Keep it clean. But you are assuming that it is Lenovo pushing Windows It is not.
It is Microsoft pushing Windows If they can get everyone of Windows 7 and Windows 8, then they can kill support early. ALL of the experts outside of Microsoft, and even a good number of Microsoft experts are telling people to check with their OEM to make sure that their system is upgradeable to Windows 10 before you even try. Also you are suppose to run the upgrade advisor before doing the upgrade to see if your hardware is even capable of using Windows Experts also tell users to backup their drives BEFORE upgrading so if you have an upgrade that goes horribly wrong you will at least be able to get back to where you started.Lenovo camera not working in Windows 10 laptop?

After doing this quick check, if you find out that you camera hardware is fine, then you can head over to second suggestion.
Here is how you can do that:. Launch Lenovo Settings app using Start menu search bar. In case, you have not installed it already download it from Windows Store. Here you need to click on Camera icon available at the top right side of the window. Scroll down to Camera settings page until you find Privacy Mode. Here turn off the Turn Privacy Mode. I can see you and others on this thread are pretty invested in getting Windows 10 to work on your Y I'll revisit the issue with the IdeaPad product team and see what we can find out - whether it just was not tested, or whether there were specific technical limitations.
I'll let you know what I find out and if our position on this product can change. I expect this may take several days to get an answer. Mark that sounds great. We'll know that something is being done to get Windows 10 officially if all goes well or some workaround. Or we'll find out there is an issue, but at least we have some information and don't have to keep imagining or wondering why we couldn't have it. Any answers from you guys are appreciated at this stage. Thank you very much Mark!
At least this is getting somewhere now unlike before where it was just a bunch of customers trying to figure out what was going on. EDIT: Just an update for those who may have tried doing an inplace upgrade and were getting errors.
Personally, I was getting this " Error Code 0xC - 0x" when I tried to do an inplace upgrade. I finally tried upgrading using a USB which I created with the Media Creation Tool from Microsoft but that ended up wiping my whole hhd instead of doing an inplace upgrade even though I chose that option something went wrong somewhere.
Of course that was a problem because I didn't have an activated version of Windows anymore. Windows did install however because once I was in Windows 10, I checked Disk Management and there was nothing but two drives the hhd and ssd unlike the 4 partitions on a single hhd that you normally see. So it seems like the Windows installer wiped the whole configuration and in doing so was able to easily install Windows. From there you can install all Windows updates and then upgrade to Windows 10 and it should work.
Of course, some things won't work like the OneKey Recovery button or software because the special partition will no longer be there. You would also have to install new drivers though it seems Windows 10 seems to do this for a lot of your basic devices automatically. Because of that, I eventually had to clean install Windows 7 again which is what I'm back to using.
I will probably try upgrading to Windows 10 again later in the year when I have time using the method I stated earlier or if a solution from Lenovo comes to light, I'll try doing that first. You are probably right. However, as you and Drewbot note, not all systems may have this config. Ya, that was the document that tipped me off as to what the problem might be.
That and the fact that I was discussing this problem with a friend and he also hinted at the configuration as a possible problem. Lenovo does this very odd thing with the whole RapidDrive feature and from what I've read it's done very poorly or something.
Thanks once again Mark for looking into the issue. You are one of the few basicly only Lenovo staff who has even dropped by this thread in all this time. Much appreciated!
Las Vegas. I've done a clean install of Windows 10 on my Y Everything works perfect except for the Bluetooth. The device is unavailable in the machine.
